I found my 2-day Fashion Stylist course incredibly inspiring. The first part was mainly theory but Chantelle and Shirley went through everything I needed to know to become a stylist in enough detail without being too overwhelming. All my questions were answered and the 1-to-1 aspect of the course helped me a lot as they tailored it to me by addressing what I needed help with, such as my confidence and interview skills. The second part was practical and they went through how I could put an outfit together for a competition called BBC StyleSearch which they told me about. They lent me a gorgeous Eloise Grey organic tweed coat to help me as a starting point and my final image ended up on one of the selected entries pages.

On the 23rd of October, Chantelle and I completed filming a documentary for Channel 4 which we feel will be a huge success. It will be aired at the start of January so we will definitely keep you all posted. I have also returned to Irish Screens on TV3’s Xpose and I have just been cast to play the lead role in a major music video so you can definitely expect us on your TV screens a lot more.
I would also like to congratulate Chantelle who won ‘Most Inspiring Newcomer’ at The Federation of Image Consultants (TFIC) Spirit of Inspiration Awards 2008. In my mind, Chantelle is hardworking, motivated, so ambitious, stylish and in my mind, she truly deserved this award so a big congratulations from all at The Fashion Academy. xx
